
of generous proportions, the straight fronted top inset with asectioned brown leather writing surface with gilded embossed trimming, surrounded by a moulded border mounted at each corner with a rocaille, scroll and cabochon clasp, the front frieze fitted with three drawers, each with a foliate pelta keyhole escutcheon and torque and mask drop handle on floral plates, centred on alternating quarter-veneered satinwood and kingwood panels within kingwood borders, the rear frieze with matching mounted panels of feigned drawers, a large bearded mask mount is centred on each of the quarter-veneered side panels, raised on cabriole legs, each headed by a solid cast chute with leaves, ribbon-tied reeds and foliate pendant, continuing to a scroll acanthus leaf sabot.
