China, Kangxi period (1662-1722). Finely modelled in square shape each depicting four panels with aquatic plants, herons, lotus, Buddhist lion, carp and dragon in high relief, covered overall with an unctuous sancai glaze. The recessed base with a green glaze. (2)

Provenance: Christie’s Paris, Lot 263, November 19th, 2003. A private collection, acquired from the above.


Condition: Superb condition with very few microscopic nibbles to lip, old wear and little kiln grit.
