Depicting a heron by a pond and other birds flying above in a wooded landscape with a chateau in the distance, retaining the original floral and foliate border, backed with linen.

Provenance: Acquired from Kate Thurlow, London, in 2001.

Condition: Overall, better preserved than many seen, especially in its colours and in retaining its original borders, but with some typical wear throughout, including small splits and occasional old repairs. The linen backing (probably dating to around the time the tapestry was last sold in the early 2000s) is lightly spotted throughout but otherwise in good condition as a support for the tapestry.

Weight: Approximately 25 Kilograms.

Dimension: Height: 300 cm Width: 319 cm.
