The revolving circular top on a spiral-fluted shaft and moulded base.
Provenance: Private Melbourne Collection.
Condition: With various faults: the top is gouged to its centre and has been previously broken in two and rejoined; the top does settle evenly on the shaft below, with a small gap between them (presumably, this could be alleviated by grinding down the supporting metal dowel to the top of the shaft); there are two repaired breaks to the shaft, with associated filling; there are various chips to the edge of the foot.
