Attributed to Heywood Brothers, Gardner, Massachusetts, painting attributed to Edward and Thomas Hill, circa 1860, pine case elaborately decorated with polychromed and gilt devices on ebonized ground, case sides centering floral bouquets and oval landscapes, fall board centering a large summer landscape scene, fitted and painted desk interior, with five drawers, pine throughout with nailed construction.

Condition: Scattered retouch with some minor distress at edges of fall board, some possible loss of height at feet, some cracks and distress with repairs at side cornice moldings (one small molding loss), other molding restorations, shrinkage separations, cracks and other surface distress.
